Making The August 2016 Calendar Wallpaper!

It feels great that my free Calendar Wallpapers are liked and enjoyed by the subscribers of Lensdepictions so much!

It makes all the effort worthwhile and makes me look forward to design a new one, month after month... :)

Apart from Calendars designed with my Photographs, occasionally, for the delight of Lensdepictions’ loyal subscribers, I design pure Graphical (illustrated) calendars too.

Here I would like to present a very high level idea of the creative process behind those illustrated calendars and thereby let you know that your favorite calendar wallpapers are truly exclusive and you won’t find them anywhere else!:)

Like majority of my photography, my illustrations also keep depicting nature and its various elements.
One such depiction came into my imagination when I decided to create a graphical calendar for the month of August 2016.

I thought of this tranquil scene:
A girl sitting under a tree, on a rock, wild grass and few stray flowers grown nearby, subtle wind blowing her hair and few leaves falling from the branches above...
I hand drew the scene as a rough sketch as a base for the digital drawing process…

And this is how the base *Vector Drawing turns out...

Yes, I had to flip the drawing horizontally to incorporate the dates and days on the right side of the image…Also, for the Calendar Wallpaper, I decided to make it more interesting to look at, and gave it some visual depth…

You can get the full size Calendar Wallpaper here - on and after 1st August, 2016

Like always, hope you will enjoy looking at your computer desktop once again.

Please feel free to send me your queries, ideas and suggestions.

Have a fantastic AUGUST ahead!

Fresh Vectors for the 15th of August!

As the 15th of August approaches, India braces itself to celebrate the 70th Independence Day.

It’s time for patriotic celebrations, programs, announcements and festivities at big or small levels everywhere in India. Whether you are a business owner, marketing professional, media person, graphic designer, or even a student, your current projects revolve around the theme of the Independence Day!

In the sea of cliched and same old stock vectors & graphics depicting Indian flag, Lensdepictions has always tried to offer Vector illustrations that are refreshingly original and imaginative.

By trying to create illustrations that are rather conceptual & thought provoking than being just the obvious, I have tried to look at the Indian flag colors with a new perspective every time.

Following are some mint fresh seamless pattern vectors with the Indian flag colors theme for this year.

seamless pattern is a pattern that can be placed side-by-side with itself without creating a noticeable boundary between two copies of the pattern.

They are widely used in Textiles, Stationary, Print publishing, Media and much more...
Click on the Pattern Tiles to buy them & check out the complete vector collection on the subject too!
Note: All Vectors are available in Illustrator 10 EPS format or higher - Infinitely scalable & absolutely editable!

Lensdepictions Images Exhibited on Curation boards!

Any art form, is all about telling something without actually telling it.

And so, for an artist, one of the most fulfilling times is when someone is able to identify her vision behind her creation just by looking at it.

It’s not just about getting liked. It’s about getting understood. Because that, happens rarely.

This process is really subtle and delicate. You create something and then you wait quietly for someone to understand it without you ever explaining it.

And whenever that happens, it's sheer joy!

Better yet, it becomes a million times more gratifying, as well as humbling, when people appreciating your work are complete strangers.

For an owner of a stock images website, it is not unfamiliar for me to have people unknown to me like my vectors and photographs and purchase them for their different professional and/or personal needs. Sometimes I dont even know where exactly my images are getting used/displayed since not all of them are used on the web. Anyhow, those images are not the subject of this post.

Actually, thanks to the capabilities of the internet, some special instances have come to my notice where some like-minded people have showcased my vector arts and photography (with full credits and/or watermark on the images) on their various conceptual boards/blogs online.

I thank them all, and all of those too, whom I might not be able to mention and/or track! :)

My photograph of Wooden Benches in Limassol, Cyprus is curated by Angela Krass in her curation board - Pattern Play.

My photograph of Alapi Kerala, India, is curated by Rajeesh Raghwan in his blog about Kerala backwaters.

My Vector Illustration of Autumn Leaves Blowing is curated by Autumn Guin in the concept board - Pollinators Curriculum.

My photograph The Green Window in Troodos Cyprus is curated by Caitlyin Edwards. in the Lattice board - Green.

My photograph of a Western Ghat Landscape in India, is curated by Pravin Aswale in his board - Indian Landscapes.

My vector art of a Beautiful Face is curated by Garfield in the Pinterest board about Fashion Art.

My photograph of Grapes & Wine Glass is curated by Douglas Page on the Lattice board - Wine.

My Vector art of Hands is curated by Stacey Reynolds on the board called - Hands.

This listing is as of today, and by no means an exhaustive one because it is decided by the limited ability to track back the images.

Subscribers , Likers  & Admirers of www.lensdepictions.com can surely look forward to seeing it grow... :)
